Today, I'm excited to share a conversation that goes beyond time and space.

今天，我很高兴能分享一个超越时间和空间的对话。

The people in our dialogue are the sage Confucius from two thousand years ago, the well-known role model Lei Feng, and me, just an ordinary student.

我们对话的人物是两千年前的圣人孔子，我们这个时代著名的榜样雷锋，还有我，一个普通的学生。

In the Doctrine of the Mean, it says, "Small virtues flow like rivers, great virtues stand firm." The sage follows the example of heaven and earth, holding and nurturing everything—that's "great virtue."

在《中庸》中，它说：“小德如江河，大德坚立。”圣人以天地为榜样，持养万物——这就是“大德”

Lei Feng, though, took that lofty ideal and turned it into everyday actions—patching up his comrades' cotton trousers, giving up his seat on the train, doing volunteer work... He spent his whole life showing us that greatness is hidden in the little things we do.

然而，雷锋把这个崇高的理想变成了日常行动——修补同志们的棉裤，放弃火车上的座位，做志愿者……他一生都在向我们展示，伟大隐藏在我们所做的小事中。

So, what about me? As an ordinary student, what can I contribute?

那我呢？作为一名普通学生，我能贡献什么？

At school, when I see waste paper or packaging bags on the ground, I  bend down and pick them up and put them in the trash. Another time, a classmate twisted their ankle and needed a wheelchair to get around. For a while, a few of us took turns pushing their wheelchair, bringing their meals, and carrying their backpack.

在学校，当我看到地上的废纸或包装袋时，我只是弯下腰把它们捡起来，扔进垃圾桶。还有一次，一位同学扭伤了脚踝，需要轮椅才能四处走动。有一段时间，我们中的一些人轮流推着轮椅，拿着饭，背着背包。

These might seem like small things, but I think they're really meaningful.

这些可能看起来很小，但我认为它们真的很有意义。

That's where I fit into this conversation—I'm not just watching from the sidelines, I'm carrying on the tradition.

这就是我参与这次对话的地方——我不仅仅是站在场边观看，我在继承传统。

The sage tells us, "When the great way is followed, all under heaven is shared." Lei Feng tells us, "Devote your limited life to the boundless service of the people." And I say with my actions, "I understand it, and I'm doing it too!"

圣人告诉我们：“大道而行，天下共享。”雷锋告诉我们：“把有限的生命奉献给人民的无限服务。”我用行动说：“我懂了，我也在做！”

Bending down to pick up trash is my way of taking care of our school; helping classmates is my way of showing friendship. These little things are my "small rivers of virtue."

弯腰捡垃圾是我照顾学校的方式；帮助同学是我表达友谊的方式。这些小事就是我的“美德之河”

Starting today, let's all be like flowing rivers together.

从今天开始，让我们一起像流动的河流。

Let everyone learn from Lei Feng, let everyone be like Lei Feng, and let's keep this spirit that goes beyond time and space alive in our hands forever!

让每个人向雷锋学习，让每个人都像雷锋一样，让这种超越时空的精神永远活在我们手中！
